Terms and conditions for using daimon.email
Effective date: March 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of daimon.email, an API-first email infrastructure service operated by Daimon ("we", "us", "our"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
daimon.email provides email infrastructure for AI agents and developers via a REST API. The service includes:
- Inbox creation -- programmatic email addresses on the
@daimon.emaildomain - Inbound email processing -- receiving, storing, and delivering email via API and webhooks
- Outbound email sending -- sending email on paid tiers
- Attachments and threading -- file storage and conversation grouping
- Webhooks and real-time events -- push notifications for incoming messages
2. Accounts and API Keys
- Free tier accounts can be created via the API without authentication. An API key is issued on inbox creation.
- Paid tier accounts require a valid payment method via Stripe.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys. Do not share them publicly or embed them in client-side code.
- We may revoke API keys if we detect unauthorized use or a security breach.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use daimon.email to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam)
- Distribute phishing, malware, or deceptive content
- Impersonate individuals or organizations
- Harvest email addresses or personal data
- Circumvent rate limits or abuse-prevention measures
- Violate any applicable law or regulation (including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice.
4. Tiers, Rate Limits, and Quotas
Usage is subject to the limits of your current tier:

Full rate limit details are documented at Rate Limits. We may adjust limits at any time with reasonable notice.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Active accounts -- messages, attachments, and metadata are retained while your account is active.
- Account deletion -- when you delete your account, all associated data (inboxes, messages, attachments, API keys) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Individual messages -- you can delete individual messages at any time via the API.
- Backups -- deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being purged.
6. Service Availability
- Free tier -- provided "as is" with no uptime guarantee or SLA.
- Paid tiers -- we target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it unless you have an Enterprise agreement with a specific SLA.
- Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced at least 24 hours in advance via status.daimon.email.
- We are not liable for downtime caused by Cloudflare, Supabase, or other third-party infrastructure providers.
7. Payment and Billing
- Paid tiers are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are listed at daimon.email/pricing.
- You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
- If payment fails, we will attempt to charge the card on file for 7 days. After that, your account reverts to the free tier.
- We do not offer refunds for partial months.
8. Intellectual Property
- Your data -- you retain full ownership of all email content and data you send or receive through the service.
- Our service -- daimon.email, its API, documentation, and branding are our intellectual property.
- SDKs and client libraries -- our open-source SDKs are licensed under their respective open-source licenses.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
- By you -- you can delete your account at any time via the API or dashboard.
- By us -- we may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any reason with 30 days notice (immediate for abuse violations).
- On termination, your data is deleted per Section 5.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Idaho.
